I am Humberto Albores, Mexican Bassist, Guitarist, Composer and Arranger of Latin-jazz and World music. I have a Master’s degree in bass guitar from the Jazz Department at the Conservatory of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. During my career I have participated as producer, musical director, bandleader and sideman with various artists in the Latin-jazz and World music scene as well as in theater.
 
 I have had the privilege of performing in various prestigious concerts around the world such as the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival with Na’rimbo & Paquito de Rivera at Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center’s Out of Doors Festival in New York City, the Percussive Arts Society in Texas, the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, South Africa, the Seoul Drum Festival in Korea and the Shanghai Arts Festival in China. I have also performed with Victor Mendoza at the Conservatory of Paris, France and with Carmen Lozada at Expo Zaragoza 2008 in Spain.
 
As an arranger and composer, I collaborated on various projects such as Chiapas Corazon de la Tierra performed by Na´rimbo and Iraida Noriega, Descarga Azteca performed by Mariachi Tierra Caliente featuring saxophonist Benjamin Herman and pianist Ramon Valle, Molino de Viento performed by Pablo Reyes, First Flight performed by Paradigm band, Peace, Love & Music performed by Vernon Chatlein´s band and many more.
 
As bassist and guitarist, I have performed with the Na´rimbo ensemble, Paradigm band, Vernon Chatlein´s band, Quinteto Caney, El barco, Carinhoso, Sol y Luna trio, Gerardo Rosales´ orchestra, Maria Catharina, Mariachi Tierra Caliente, Mezcales Quartet, Guitar Latino, Trio Galantes & Laura Fygi and Onyx-3.
 
Since 2017 I am professor of bass guitar at the faculty of music at the University of Sciences and Arts in Chiapas, Mexico.
